Advice from one of the most famous life coaches of all time

In the US, one of the most renowned life coaches is Tony Robbins. He has built a multimillion dollar empire on the back of his business: Helping other people in their lives.

He’s so respected for what he does that when Bill Clinton was president of the US, he sought Robbins’ advice. Serena Williams relied on him to help her avoid meltdowns on court. Even Princess Diana has a consultation with him.

He’s known as a great listener and a man with a plan. He says he strives to find strategies that create results in a short period of time.

Robbins is a great believer in mind over matter, taking control of your own destiny and achieving your goals.

Robbins uses this to help people when they lose their jobs.

Here’s his advice if you lose your job and how to deal with it…

Five steps to take if you lose your job

This is what he told Playboy you should do…

Step #1:
The first thing you need to do is “feed and strengthen your mind with something that inspires you”. If you don’t do this, “fear and disaster is where your brain will go”.

Step #2:
You need to take time to “feed and strengthen your body”. Robbins says that “fear is physical”. By doing exercise, you help energy flow “back into your body and restores you to certainty”.

Step #3:
Next you need to find a role model. This person should be someone that’s managed to turn their life around.

Step #4:
Take action and change your approach.

Step #5:
Always bear in mind that someone somewhere is always worse off than you. This will help your state of mind. It “reminds you that you have something to give and to be grateful for”.

These five steps should help you become mentally ready for getting a new job and ready to take control of your destiny.

So there you have it, five things to do if you lose your job.
