As an investor, you’re always looking for new and innovate ways to invest and make returns. Here’s a unique way you can invest and hold gold, starting today.

Investing in gold provides many benefits to investors, like protecting your investment portfolio from inflation, financial collapse and currency devaluation.

But do you know that investing in the NewGold ETF is better than investing in physical gold?

“The NewGold ETF is one of the simplest and most cost-efficient methods for investors to invest directly in physical gold,” says Peter Egwuatu in an article on news site Vanguard.com.

Here are two reasons why investing in NewGold is better than investing in physical gold

1.    NewGold is the most convenient way to own gold. The mere fact that the ETF is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) means you have easy access to your investment. Your money is more liquid than if you bought physical gold. And it’s easier to buy and sell than physical coins. When it comes to safety, you also don’t have to worry about storing gold at your home.

2.    NewGold provides you with an opportunity to redeem your Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) for physical gold bullion. NewGold gives qualified investors with the necessary permits and a sufficient quantity of NewGold ETFs the ability to exchange them for real gold bullion.

NewGold in the past five years has returned 176%, compared to the JSE All Share Index returning just 21.4% in the same period. With the price of gold headed higher in the long-term, now’s the time to take advantage of this unique investment,” says Francois Joubert, Chief Investment Strategist behind The Resource And Scarcity Report.

Physical versus paper? What about the stories of the missing physical gold as well as the gold plated metal bars that have been found in circulation. Then there are the stories that claim that more gold ETF's have been sold than the physical the companies are holding. For these reasons, is it not better to hold certified gold, the real thing.
